We are always looking to add memorable experiences to our calendar. We especially relish hosting your cooking courses in our commercial kitchen, yoga classes or troop meetings in one of our classrooms. Come see our venue for yourself!
We discuss ESP (Extra-Sensory Perception), near death experiences, reincarnation, ghosts, quantum physics, yoga, meditation, spiritualism, Wicca, astrology, eastern religions and alternative healing. These discussions are in conjuction with the UUC Buddhist Fellowship. We meet the last Sunday of the month at 12:30 pm in the Patio Room.
Our community gardens meet up regularly to share tips. Children are invited to start plots.
We all learned some valuable lessons from our inaugural year of summer camp. Starting a camp from scratch – without a budget, volunteer team or history of excited campers – was daunting. Everyone worked incredibly hard to raise funds and plan an awesome week of activities for Chalice Camp.
“It’s a blessing we were born, and it matters what we do. What we know about life is a piece of the truth. Let the beauty we love be what we do, and we don’t have to do it alone…”
This was our camp song throughout the week, which contains all of our daily themes. Learning, playing, being together. We made some amazing memories along the way. We packed in as many fun experiences and workshops from congregants and community members as we could.
Some of Our Workshops
- Community Gardening
- Martial Arts
Campers were encouraged to try all of the workshops for at least 10 minutes; if they really didn’t like it, they wouldn’t have to participate. Most of the time, most campers decided to see the workshop through. Each person contributing special gifts, ideas and energy made the Chalice Camp one for the books.
Local artists are on display in our Sanctuary. We welcome the public to view the ever changing collections during Sunday services.
Want to showcase your artwork? Or perhaps you know of an artist looking to have an exhibit. We are always interested in new installations or collections. Curate your own theme or work with a coordinator to unveil a group event.
